  • Rank in the top 10% of your class based on Texas State GPA

Graduate students:

*All requirements under each section must be met to earn an invitation and are calculated as of the end of the previous semester

Tapping Ceremony Invitation

The Beta Gamma Sigma tapping ceremony is held each Spring and Fall semester. In full academic regalia, faculty members visit classrooms and publicly invite eligible students to join Beta Gamma Sigma. These notable students are recognized by both their peers and professors as they are handed a formal packet describing the benefits and privileges of being a Beta Gamma Sigma member. This unique invitation to membership generates awareness about Beta Gamma Sigma within the student body at large.

Financial Assistance for Invited Students

Financial assistance is available on a first come, first served basis for a limited number of students that are invited but cannot afford the membership fee at this time. To apply for assistance, please fill out this form.

In the spirit of lending a helping hand, we encourage students that receive this benefit to pay it forward through a contribution to Beta Gamma Sigma after they are established in their career to help future members in a similar situation.
